Daughter's of the American Revolution Essay Contest
The daughter's of the American Revolution sponsored an essay contest on the importance of the Transcontinental Railroad. Middle school students from across the county were invited to participate in the contest. Students had to write as essay from between 600 and 1,000 words from the point of view of a settler, an Irish or Chinese worker, or a Native American. The following students did an outstanding job on their essays and were invited to read their essays at the DAR meeting. Congratulations to: Heather Heair, Katelyn Snipes, Heath Heair, Tylon Ward, D.
